Educating Our Adults

 

On the 24th of August 2018, the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) in collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister, Gender and Youth Affairs hosted a training session in child protection for bus drivers and school bus drivers. This session educated the drivers in recognising, preventing abuse and also the legislation surrounding abuse in Trinidad and Tobago.

 

As the school year is soon to begin this step is important to ensuring the safety of many school aged children. We need to educate children of their rights and also the adults which surround them everyday. From teachers to guardians to drivers and security officers it’s crucial for them to know the signs of abuse of the children in their every day care.
