Child Rights Ambassadors Programme

Child Rights Ambassadors Programme

At City Hall in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, the Office of the Prime Minister launched the Child Rights Ambassadors Programme on the 20th November,2017 to commemorate Universal Children’s Day.

The programme enables forty seven children chosen from eighteen schools and 4 community residences across Trinidad and Tobago, to speak out on the problems or conflicts they face and to showcase and bring more awareness to the Rights of a Child across our nation of Trinidad and Tobago. The participants were trained to express themselves through music, spoken word and acting.

As you can see, this programme will most definitely contribute to the awareness of Children’s Rights but further impact the lives of many by allowing the Ambassadors to showcase their creative talents through a platform like this.

This project recently began with a bang as the Ambassadors did a creative presentation to their respective schools and communities. If you would like to follow the Child Rights Ambassadors of Trinidad and Tobago on their journey please follow the Office of the Prime Minister, Gender and Child Affairs on Facebook and visit their website http://www.opm-gca.gov.tt/ for more information.
